There’s two bands I don’t need to worry about clashing at Slam Dunk :D
So since my Statistical Inference revision is going rather well, I thought I’d take a short break and blog some “updates” in my life:

That’s about it tbh. There are a few others things, but they’re even less interesting than this stuff haha!
So Me vs Hero kicked things off quite nicely, seemed to have a lot of fans at the gig. Shame a lot of them were irritating little children showing off their hardcore dancing “skills” haha! They’re really a band I should like - the music is everything I’m “into” - but I just can’t seem to get into them for some reason… they are good live, though. It’s good to see some northern talent, though.
Out of Sight were up next, and having heard nothing by them before this gig, I was pleasantly impressed! Crowd seemed to be getting into them… and then they dropped the bombshell! They played a cover of I Gotta Feeling by the Black Eyed Peas, which set things off quite nicely! Little-known bands playing covers can be dodgy if y’ask me, but these guys definitely knew what they were doing playing a pop punk version of such a popular song. If people weren’t getting into them, they certainly seemed to be after this.
Every Avenue were a little disappointing to be honest. The volume of the vocals was a bit dodgy throughout; at some points inaudible in the “softer” singing parts, which was irritating and it didn’t seem to straighten out as the show went on, either. They did play pretty much everything I wanted to hear, but I dunno… I was just underwhelmed. The singer wasn’t what I was expecting either (I hadn’t seen him before this), not that that’s important :p just making an observation.
Overall, I am glad I went to this gig since I missed all of these bands at Slam Dunk due to queuing, but I don’t think I’ll be paying to see Every Avenue again.
Bands I like are tagged in this post if that helps. Either post some in my messages or answer this post with some ?
Love. This. Happens to so many bands. Off the top of my head:
All Time Low (literally cannot tolerate the 14-year-olds screaming and crying)
A Day to Remember (seriously, why do kids have to punch people in pits these days? You’re seriously going to really hurt someone, that’s not cool)
Enter Shikari (again with people punching each other)
Every Aveune (again with the 14-year-olds screaming and crying)
New Found Glory (again with the violence, although not as bad as the other two bands)
Rise Against (don’t preach at me you prick!)
Zebrahead (again, violence)
This why I love gigs like Less Than Jake, Rancid, Funeral for a Friend… none of this bullshit, it’s all about being there and enjoying the music, not “creaming your pants” or beating the fuck out of anyone who dares to touch you.
